ICT Gozo Malta Professional Register
ICT Gozo Malta new Projects will bring together local and internationally sourced ICT breakthroughs and experts to enable the demonstration of advanced ICT Innovations and R&D with global export potential.
Conceptually the ICT Gozo Malta profile and skills register is not unlike LinkedIn, a professional network and meeting point of related professionals.
Who should join?
- Students studying ICt related subjects who are based in Gozo and Malta
- ICT Undergraduates, Post Graduatuates and ICT Professionals studying or working in Malta and Gozo
- ICT Professionals currently living abroad and hailing from Malta. We wish to attract and connect to the diaspora of Maltese who have moved abroad but who could contribute to advancing Malta's ICT potential and International reach for International collaboration, or for the potential to return to Malta when suitable opportunities evolve
- Local and International Companies wishing to participate in a nascent Cluster of Excellence and our current R&D Projects
- Individuals who have their own cutting edge Innovation or R&D ideas and are looking for collaboration, investment, and/or support to take their ideas further
- Anyone interested in the development and advancement of world -leading cutting-edge R&D in Cyber Security, a specific focus of this Project.
What's in it for me?
Your participation contributes to and demonstrates support for the concept of a new drive to create a growing an outward looking ICT Industry based on ideas, knowledge, innovation and skills. This portal, through it's projects will increasingly attract International and local interest as a resource and collaborative center, both at an individual and company level. Individual membership is FREE. Registration allows you to demonstrate the pool of skills and resources Malta has to offer, which can contribute towards increased ICT activities in Malta in new domains and with International participation.
But I already have a job?
Although this is a skills resource pool this is not a jobs site. New jobs will inevitably be created through the commercialisation of new R&D projects.
Our aim is to showcase the potential we offer and to demonstrate that skilled resources are available at ALL levels of ICT. By registering you are adding to the wealth we can demonstrate on an International level. Registered users can set the privacy levels of any information they enter, whether it is contact or identifier details or skills. Most public information is predominantly only available to Project members and participants. This project does not intend to recruit people. Companies in Malta and abroad participating in one or more R&D projects will register and potentially advertise for skills and reasources which could lead to employment.
To be clear, registering on this site should not mean or imply that you are looking for a job, just as LinkedIn encourages the listing of skills and qualifications.
If you are looking for work then of course you may specify that as an option on your profile. You can also apply for any advertised jobs if you so wish. But consider that, by registering and participating, you will be contributing to the development of an ICT industry with the potential to increase the breadth and potential of new jobs in new areas of IT, both in Malta and also in Gozo.
Educational establishments
Both MCAST and the University of Malta are participating with this project at one level or another. Outputs from our project will help both educational establishments identify skill gaps and the potential for the development of new courses to keep Malta up there with the best.
